Queensway
news
HENSALL - Queensway resi-
dents kicked their week off with
Fun and Fitness.
A group gathered on Tuesday
morning for Breakfast Club. They
had farmers sausage, eggs, toast,
juice and coffee.
Members of the Christian Re-
formed Church in Exeter took some
of the residents for a car ride last
Thursday. Their destination was the
Scaforth area and they managed to
make it hack home before the rain
came.
Later on Thursday evening, Irene
and Jack Vincent were the enter-
tainers for the monthly birthday
party. Residents enjoyed listening
to their musical program, singing
along, and a few got up to dance.
Those celebrating birthdays in
June include Lewis Clark, Marg
Coates, Marg Fremlin and Winnie
Irving.
Upcoming events
An outdoor barbecue will be held
June 30 and a Volunteer Auxiliary
meeting is scheduled for July 4 at

JYHY AN AUTOPSY?
There remains a certain amount of reluctance by friends and rela-
tives of a deceased person to allow an autopsy to be performed
when he or she dies. Such fears often are based on misinformation
or a vague "bad feeling" about the procedure.
An autopsy is performed in a hospital by a trained pathologist when
the physician deems it necessary. He may do so for a number of
reasons. Most often, he requests an autopsy because he feels it will
help doctors to better deal with disease in the future. Such new
knowledge helps the medical profession to provide more effective
care to future patients.
Autopsy does not prevent a full-service funeral for the deceased. In
fact, no changes at all in the funeral need be made in the case of an
autopsy.
As funeral directors, we have had experience with this situation. If
you would like more information, or would like to talk to us, please
stop by.

EXETER - It isn't everyday that you win a prize for catching a carp but
July 9 is just that day. The Ausable Anglers Club is sponsoring the Park-
hill Fancily Bass and Carp Classic at the Parkhill Conservation Area. Pric-
es for the biggest bass will be awarded.
The derby gets underway at 8 a.m. and you can register at the conces-
sion booth at the beach area anytime between 8 a.m. and noon. The derby
closes at 2 p.tn. with the presentation of prizes at 2:15 p.m.
Registration fees are $2./adult, $1./child or $5./fancily plus the conserva-
tign area entry fee.
There are three grand prizes: a draw prize from all entrants, biggest carp
and biggest bass. Other prizes include the biggest bass or carp caught by
an angler 10 and under as well as an angler I I to 16 years old. The young-
est and older successful anglers will also receive prizes and a number of
draw prizes will also be given away.
This event promises to be a very enjoyable family outing and coincides
with the Ontario Free Family Fishing Weekend.
For the weekend, the Ministry of Natural Rcsourc has waived the re-
quirement for an angling license for all Canadian r idents. Government
and non-government organizations are taking part i and sponsoring the
weekend.
Introducing children to the sport of fishing is an important part of the
Angler's club activities along with stream rehabilitation and habit im-
provement.

field Conservation Authority at 235-2610

DON'T WORRY, IT iS NOT
TOO LATE!
At,
Mark Coulthard
So, your lawn was covered with a mass of Dandelions this spring9 You didn't gel
around to controlling them, and the yellow blossoms are now white seed heads
Don't worry. It is not too late to get those Dandelions under control
Weed control products act as plant growth hormones which are taken Into plant
tissues These specific plant hormones confuse the plant's growing centres and
cause the plant to 'grow Itself to death' and use up food sources Weed control
will still be effective
Don't worry. it's not too late'
