Gani Lazaro from Calvary United Church in Dashwood visited Queensway Nursing Home this week to per- form the weekly church service. Later on Tuesday afternoon a group of residents met for the monthly supper club. They enjoyed pork chops in a mushroom sauce over rice, cole slaw and strawberry rhu- barb pie for dessert. Everyone thor- oughly enjoyed themselves. Due to the extreme heat on Thursday residents stayed indoors and. watched the movie "Mrs. Doubtfire", a comedy starring Rob- in Williams. Some residents went for short walks outside on Friday. Many family members and friends were in to visit on Father's Day. Residents were able to treat the4t'guestf 46'sw'eet Treats and cold lemonade at the Annual Father's Day Tea. Upcoming June 23 at 7 p.m. will be the June Birthday party. A Strawberry So- cial is planned for June 28, 6 to 8 p.m. Everyone is invited to this Alzheimer's Research fundraiser. An outdoor barbecue will be held at 12 noon on June 30.
