Scatcherd Classic raises $80,000 Golf roundup GRAND BEND - Thirteen cer- tainly wasn't an unlucky number for the David Scatcherd Invitational Classic Golf Tournament last Tues- day and Wednesday as the 13th an- nual event raised 580,000 for the Scatcherd Children's Home in Lon- don. Approximately 5300,000 has been raised through past tourna- ments but this year's seems to be certainly one of the best. There were 64 golfers in the event at the Oakwood Golf Club which was won by David Camp- bell, Richard Benney, Robert Beat- tie and David Sanders. WORLD Tournament time: Oakwood will be the site of the Oakwood Mixed Invitational on Friday with the pro- ceeds of this tournament going to Community Living -South Huron's Adult Rehabilitation Centre. The $50 fee includes golf, gour- met buffet lots of prizes plus spe- cial cash prizes for first and second place, gross and net A, B and C nights.
