Grand Bend ratepayers see a small tax increase The village's portion of the budget is down .13 percent GRAND BEND - Ratepayers in Grand Bend received a mini- mal tax increase Monday night as council passed its 1994 budget. The mill rate increased .7 per- cent which means that locals will be spending $1.58 more for every $1,000 of assessed property. A property assessed at $100,000 will therefore cost an additional $158.00. "We are showing essentially the same as last year," said coun- cillor Cam Ivey who, along with administrator Paul Turnbull did most of the work on the budget. .
