Hensall `Tinker Tots' move
The nursery school
will now operate from
Hensall Public School.
By Liz Sangster
HENSALL - The Hensall Tinker
Tots Co-op Nursery School was
busy Saturday morning, moving
from their present location.
The school will now operate from
the Hensall Public School. The
move was made with mixed emo-
tions, as the Nursery -School had al-
ways been well served at the Hen-
sall Community Centre. It is
however, very exciting to he relo-
cated in their new home.
The Nursery School offers an In-
tegration Program, and with the
school being located on one level,
it will be much more accessible.
Further, with the implementation of
Junior Kindergarten, the school is
looking to expand their program-
ming, to meet the needs of the com-
munity. Area residents interested in
the school and/or program, are en-
couraged to contact Karen Jolly,
president, at 262-3207.
Dog tags
Hensall residents are reminded
that dog tags are available at the
Hensall Municipal Office. The li-
censes are the same price as last
year. Your co-operation in obtain-
ing your dog's license is appreciat-
ed. Dog owners are also reminded
to clean up after their animals.
Hensall fair
The Hensall Spring Fair is this
weekend. Local service clubs and
organizations will be on hand with
lots of fun activities including a
dunk tank, dart -and -balloon game,
bobbing for apples, ice cream, face
painting, bounces, pony rides, car
hash, "hay area", ball toss and
more.
These activities are in addition to
the regular events of: mini pedal
pull, horse shows (Friday and Sat-
urday), calf club show and sale,
poultry show, sheep show, parade
and Queen of the Fair Competition.
The Tug -of -War competition will
he held Saturday afternoon at 1:30
p.rn. (to follow the parade), behind
the ball diamond.
The grand finale for the 1994
Fair will be a Saturday evening
dance, hosted by the Hensall Opti-
mist Club. Tickets are $10 a
couple, and are available from Op-
timist Club members and the Hen-
sall Village Office.
Further information about the
Fair is available from Barb West-
lake -Power at 262-3025.
Pork barbecue and dance
The Hensall Parks Board is hold-
ing a pork barbecue and dance, to
celebrate Hensall's 110th Birthday.
This is scheduled for August 19.
That date may seem far off, but
these tickets are going fast.
The band for the evening is
"Double Exposure" - a band with
an extensive repertoire. Attendants
have a choice of "pig -out" times:
6:30 p.m. or 10:30 p.m. Further in-
formation is available from Toni
