The Planning Together Committee of the
Huron County Housing Authority has an op-
portunity for an organized. outgoing individ-
ual to work with Housing Authority tenants
in building better communities. The job po-
sition entails promoting community devel-
opment through increased participation of
tenants and fostering coordination of ten-
ant
enant led activities.
The Community Development Worker
(CDW) will be expected to take an active
role in expanding the scope of the Plan-
ning
lanning Together Committee and getting new
members involved and active. The CDW
will he expected to bring pertinent pro-
grams to the centre and/or develop pro-
grams that are in high demand in the con}
munities.
The COW will visit each family unit and as
many community service providers as pos-
sible in order to facilitate and coordinate
communication between tenants, the
Housing Authority. and community servic-
es.

Applicants should be familiar with commu
nity organizations in the Huron County
area and have experience in the area of
community development. Good personal,
mediation. and public speaking skills are
required Applicant should have problem
solving and conflict management skills.

skills and be able to work independently
under minimal supervision. Applicant
should be prepared to initiate activities
and work cooperatively with tenants and
tenant committees.
Computer skills are a definite asset as the
applicant will be responsible for producing
relevant literature related 10 tenant activi-
