By Rhoda Rohde
THAMES ROAD - There were
48 people present for the May
meeting of the U.C.W., held Mon-
day evening in the church base-
ment. Former members were enter-
tained.
The meeting table was decorated
with tulips. Kay Cunnington wel-
comed everyone and gave the
theme "Mother's Day" and a read-
ing "You Are". Sharon Passmore
read the scripture lesson Proverbs
31:10-31.
The group sang "Happy the
Home" and a responsive prayer fol-
lowed with Cunnington, Passmore,
Marilyn Pym and Jean Hodgert tak-
ing part. Pym gave the meditation
"Ways to Honour Mother".
Cunnington and Pym received
the offering while Hodgert played
the piano and Passmore gave the
Offertory Prayer.
The offering was donated to
'Sleeping Children Around the
World'.
"Love Divine" was sung and
Hodgert introduced Jim and Doro-
thy Chapman of Exeter who spoke
and showed pictures of their recent
trip involving "Sleeping Children
Around the World". Pym thanked
the Chapmans and presented them
with a hanging plant.
Margaret Stewart, president, con-
ducted the business. The prices
were set for the strawberry and ham
supper on June 20.
"God Reveals His Presence" was
sung and Margaret closed with
prayer.
Groups W and U served lunch
which brought a very informative
