Fish derby starts on Saturday GRAND BEND - it's here - the 6th Annual Grand Bend Sal- mon and Trout Derby. Beginning Saturday morning, perhaps as the sun comes up over Lake Huron, hundreds of anglers will be in their boats as they try to catch the biggest fish which will net them the grand prize of $4,000 (cash value) while second place is $1,500 and S700 for third. Last year's biggest salmon, weighing in at 27.379 pounds was caught by Sarnia"s Reid Robertson. The top prize for the biggest trout this year is $1,000 with $200 for second and third taking home $100. Keith Cameron of Wyoming had the biggest trout last year at 8.78 pounds. Last year there were nearly 800 fish weighed, the highest to- tal in the five years. Derby offi- cials feel this year's event will be even more successful than last due to the outstanding pro- gram of stocking Lake Huron carried out by the Bluewater An- gler's Club of Sarnia. Part of the proceeds from the derby each year is contributed to the hatchery project in Sarnia. The biggest prize this year is a Four Winns Series 180 Horizon SE boat complete with motor and trailer valued at $20,000 which goes to the angler who brings in the tagged fish. lr BUSINESS DIRECTORY AUCTIONEERS FILSON & ROBSON The Experienced Auctioneers that Guarantee You More $6 Consklering A Sale or Need an Appraisal 666-0833 666-1967 Call Collect Supplying you with 38 years Efficient Service • Mobile office • Immediate Payment 3 Auctioneers tt is our pleasure to sere you REPAIRS Sewing Machine Repairs to all makes .
