Huron Ridge Acres the right
place to buy your garden needs
ZURICH - Providing friendly service with quality products
is the motto of Steckle's Huron Ridge Acres located at R.R. 2,
Zurich.
After more than 20 years in business, Dave Steckle
says,"Customer satisfaction is a high priority for us in provid-
ing the best in everything needed by the do -it yourself home
gardener."
Steckle continued, "We have all kinds of annual and peren-
nial flowers. It's a great advantage for the customer to come
right to the grower. They have a better selection right at the
source. We have about an acre of greenhouse space now."
Access to all the greenhouses is now available without go-
ing outside. Also available now is a wide variety of vegetable
and flowering bddded plants along with foliage plants for in-
terior decorations. The selection of perennials is one of the
largest in Huron County.
This past weekend an Open House was held at Huron Ridge
Acres. Out in full instant colour for Mothers Day will be gera-
niums , hanging baskets and wall bags and a wide variety of
other flowers.
Huron Ridge Acres take great pride in the quality, variety
and competitive pricing of all of their nursery stock. These in-
clude shade trees, fruit trees, evergreen shrubs, flowering
trees and bushes, potted rose bushes and ground covers.
The Huron Ridge Acres Garden Centre has peat moss, pot-
ting soils, bark chips and mulch, fertilizers, chemicals and a
full line•of organic fertilizers and pesticides.
The business is operated by Dave and Carol Steckle and
their son Kevin along with three other full-time employees
along with up to another dozen workers during peak periods.
Huron Ridge also operates a full service florist shop at 21
Goshen street north in Zurich with always a good selection of
fresh flowers at competitive prices and artificial arrangements
to choose from custom made to your colour specifications.
During November and December, poinsettias are featured at
Huron Ridge Acres and can be seen at the annual Open
House, held on the last weekend of November.
Special spring hours are now in effect until June 15. Open
hours will be weekdays from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturdays
from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. During May, only, the centre will be
open on Sundays from 1.30 to 5 p.m. The flower shop in Zu-
rich is open Fridays from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
