Women's Institute
celebrates 75 years
EXETER - Hurondale Women's
Institute celebrated its 75th anniver-
sary (1919-1994) Friday at the R.E.
Pooley Legion Hall in Exeter.
All Institute branches from Hu-
ron South were represented.
Laurine McIntosh
brought greetings from
the Federated Wom-
en's Institute of Onta-
rio and June Stewart
expressed greetings
from the Huron South
district.
Gladys Sims read the
minutes of the first
meeting dated March
26, 1919. Fern Dougall
cited highlights of the ac-
tivities of Hurondale
Women's Institute's 75
years of history. Those in
attendance were amused
ries, pictures and collections were
displayed around the walls of the
hall.
A piano instrumental was given
by Ann Brodie during registration.
Marion Dougall commented on the
fashion show of clothes of former
years. The various attire was
' modelled by members of Hu-
ron Women's Institute,
Barb Passmore and Judy
Dougall.
A reading by Marilyn
Pym and Mary Bor-
land's story of
"Spring Fashions"
was followed by a selec-
• tion of older tunes on the
piano.
Spring flowers decorated
the tables. A cake to com-
memorate the 75th anniversary was
cut by Olive Hicks and Gladys
Sims.
A social hour was enjoyed with
beverage, ice cream and cake.

A ZONING BY- LAW BY
THE TOWNSHIP OF McGILLIVRAY
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Township of McGillivray
passed By-law No. 29 of 1993 on the 18th day of April, 1994
under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990.
AND TAKE NOTICE that any person or agency may appeal to the
Ontario Municipal Board in respect of the By-law by filing with
the Clerk of the Township of McGillivray not later than the 10th
day of May, 1994 a notice of appeal setting out the objection
to the By-law and the reasons in support of the objection.
The purpose and effect of the By-law allows the lands
described as Part Lot 21, Concession 11, to be used as a
summer day camp. The complete By-law is available for
inspection in my office during regular office hours.
