Relocation lets bakery cater to customer needs EXETER - You don't have to look far these days to find a new business starting up, renovating or relocating. The Tasty Nu bakery and cheese house in Exeter falls into the latter category. "Customers in the past told us they wanted a place to sit, so when this location became available, it seemed the right move to expand," said owner Doug Oesch. The new store, located across the street from the old business, allows Oesch a chance to add some new items to the menu such as new as- sortments of cheese, soups and sandwiches. And since this store is four times the size of the old one, cus- tomers can now relax in the new- ly -provided cafes. Desch said he did have second thoughts about expanding the store, but felt demand for the products warranted the change. "We try to maintain a positive atti- tude when it comes the economy," Oesch said. "This has been an excit- ing time for us." The first Tasty Nu was established in Zurich in 1929 and eventually ex- panded to Seaforth and Exeter. Oesch took over the operation in 1975. The business has evolved from a bakery to retail and whole- sale operation.
