Forthcoming marriage - Eliz-
abeth Gaudio and Mark Ma-
son are happy to announce
their forthcoming marriage.
Elizabeth is the daughter of
Anthony and Donna Gaudio
and Mark is the son of Lois
and the late Kenneth Mason.
The wedding will take place
on April 23, 1994 at the
Grand Bend United Church
with an "Open Reception" at
8 p.m. at the Grand Bend Le-

CENTRALIA - At the April
Women's Ministries meeting held
Friday night, the ladies enjoyed
hearing about "home schooling".
Nancy Mills of London has been
home schooling for two years and
shared her experiences and an-
swered questions concerning this
ever growing field.
Following the meeting 100 recipe
books were put together and are
ready for sale.
Sunday at 7:00 p.m. is the Sun-
day School Spring Sing. The Faith -
walkers have challenged the teach-
ers to a quiz match on Proverbs 27,
and the winners of the Bible Search
Contest will be announced. The
boys were successful last year. Eve-
ryone is welcome.
There will be volleyball this Fri-
day at the Exeter Public School at 7
p.m.

SAINTSBURY - St. Patricks
Morning Prayer Service was held
at 8:30 a.m. Sunday April 19. Eliz-
abeth Geertsma was officiant for
the service. For the childrens Fo-
cus, she compared the Faster Bun-
ny and Jesus and how we believe
but can't see them and that Jesus
wants us to believe in Him and go
out into the world and tell others
the stories of Jesus.

"Country Music" at the Centralia
Community Centre on Sunday.

to see old and new friends. Special
thanks to Ross McFalls for orga-
nizing the event.
Bill and Betty Johnson and
Hugh and Hazel Davis were lunch
guests with the Sveden's of Port
Huron on Sunday.

Supper Club enjoyed
HENSALL - This past week residents of Queensway Nursing Home he-
gan their activities with a match of balloon volleyball.
Monday evening the women's group from the Hensall P chytcrian
Church sponsored bingo.
Their weekly church service was conducted by Rev. Henry Annen of
Hensall United Church. Volunteers from the church shared in the service.
Following church, a group got together for Supper Club and made a chick-
en stir -fry on egg noodles. For dessert they had a maple syrup cake made
with fresh maple syrup. Everyone enjoyed that little treat.
They have also had Fun & Fitness this week with some quizzes on old-
time music and lyrical verses.
Friday afternoon residents joined together for a movie matinee "The
Sandlot".
Gcri Fashions will be at Queensway Thursday, April 21. They feature a
variety of adaptive clothing for seniors including dresses, slacks, night-
wear, bathrobes and slippers.
Everyone is invited to come and browse through their selections.

Special Olympics
torch run ready to
go on May 31
EXETER - The Spe-
ial Olympics Torch
Run is once again
being organized by
the Exeter OPP.
Planned for May
7 31, the eighth annu-
run will start in
vasnwooa, head north to Zurich,
pass through Hensall and finish
in Exeter. The run will start at
8:30 a.m. and is expected to
come down Highway 4 into Ex-
eter at about 10:30 a.rn.
The OPP is asking for both
moral and financial support as
they raise funds for the Special
Olympics, an Ontario sporting
event for the handicapped.
The runners will be welcoming
people in each of the communi-
ties to come out and either cheer
on the team, or join in with run-
ning along with them. Dona-
tions are being sought from
both the general public and lo-
cal businesses.
Run co-ordinator, constable
Rod Herbert says that Big '0',
Huron Apothecary, Donut De -
lite Cafe, and Ken Ogden have
already made generous contri-
butions to help get the event off
the ground.
Tax receipts will be issued for
donations over $ 10, and
cheques are to be made payable
to the Ontario Special Olym-
pics, and forwarded to the OPP
station at 245 Main St. N. Exet-
er, NOM, 1S3. Contributors
will also receive placards saying
"Torch Run Supporter".
