Actors need
a home
GRAND BEND - This summer
approximately 65 actors from To-
ronto, Montreal and Winnipeg will
be performing throughout the sea-
son (June 14 - September 3) at Hu-
ron Country Playhouse. Each actor
is here for about four weeks.
While working at the Playhouse
the actors need a place to call
home. Somewhere that they can
come and go as they please, be
able to use the kitchen, relatively
close to the theatre and most im-
portantly, reasonable rent. (while
in this area they still have financial
obligations at their main resi-
dence).
If you would like t host a Cana-
dian artist during the summer
please contact Gloria Day at Hu-
ron Country Playhouse (519) 238-

Spring has anima
e
in Centralia area
By Mary Peterson
CENTRALIA - Spring has ar-
rived! Several people have seen
robins in the area, the tundra
swans are migrating, and the
swallows have returned to Ca-
pistrano. Enjoy some pancakes
and fresh maple syrup during
these milder days.
Sunday, March 20 was a beau-
tiful spring day, and Reverend
Clare Geddes continued his Len-
ton theme with the sermon
'Words from the Cross: Fifth
Word' at Centralia United
church.
Larry Skinner read the minute
for mission about breaking the
cycle of violence. In the chil-
dren's story, Reverend Peggy
Campbell -Geddes told how
M&S funding helped children
learn even while hiding in the
jungle during the war in Angola.
Next Sunday is Palm Sunday,
and will be a special service to
celebrate confirmation and Holy
Communion. Everyone is invit-
ed to participate in the service
which will be conducted by con-
firmation candidates. They'll de-
scribe the highlights of their in-
teresting trip to Toronto.
Following the service, there will
be a reception at the church.
Several meetings will keep
people busy. A joint Session
meeting will be held at Centralia
United Church on Tuesday,
March 22 at 8:00 p.m. The Ste-
wards will meet at Rob Essery's
on Wednesday, March 23 at
7:30 p.m. There's also a meeting
at the Zurich arena on March 23
at 10:00 a.m. to discuss long-
term planning for placement ser-
vices and respite care. Input
from South Huron residents
would be welcomed.
Members of the Official Board
should note their next meeting
on Wednesday, March 30 at
8:00 p.m. at Zion West United
Church.
On April I, there will be a spe-
cial Good Friday service at
11:00 a.m. at Zion West.
