Birthdays celebrated
HENSALL - Our week of activi-
ties started off with Fun and Fitness
and the Kippen U.C.W. having a
bingo for us. Everyone enjoyed the
social time and winning a bingo
prize.
Reverend Larry Stojkovic of
Dashwood Lutheran Church per-
formed our weekly church service.
He was accompanied by Jayne
Hayter who provided the music for
our service.
Thursday evening was the Birth-
day Party. Unfortunately due to the
weather our entertainment was un-
able to come. Joyce Pepper stepped
in at the last minute to provide mu-
sical accompaniment for a sing-
song. Those celebrating birthdays
include Mabel Chowen, Bruce
Cann, Marguerite Baker, Kay Hovi-
us, Rochus Faber, Harold Penhale,
Esther Moffat and Wesley Richard-
son. In addition to our birthday cel-
ebrants, Rochus and Elizabeth Fa-
ber celebrated their 60th Wedding
Anniversary last Thursday. Con-
gratulations to Rochus and Eliza-
beth.
Saturday morning the Resident
Council gathered for their monthly
meeting. There was lots of discus-
sion about some upcoming events.
After lunch we gathered for a game'
of balloon volleyball. Everyone had
lots of fun (and exercise) chasing
the balloons and eventually break-
ing them.
Upcoming events: March 7, 2
p.m., bingo sponsored by Legion
Auxiliary; March 15, 4 p.m., Sup-
per Club; March 17, 2 p.m., St. Pat-
rick's Day Party; March 24, 7 p.m.,
Birthday Party with Sherry McCall
