CWL President Lia Vandenberk chaired the business. Due to an increase in Ler capita fees at the national level, I( was soled to raise this council's membership fees to $12.(X) annual- ly A new membership pin has been created for 10 years service, to en- courage participation and recognize contributions of younger members. It was decided to order four of these IO year pins. in addition to seseral 25 year pins to be awarded thus year. Mcrnhers were asked to pray for three CWL women in our parish who are ill at home or in hospital. Cathy Vrolyk circulated a new re- membrance book she made in hon- our of deceased members. Father Beck reminded the mem- bership that Lent is beginning, and that he would like to have volun- teers for a Wednesday morning cof- fee social with the pastor after 10 a.ni. Mass during Lent. Two people will become new members of the Catholic communi- ty during Easter. The dept on the new parish hall has been paid down to S6,000 already. Following the meeting, a social time for refreshments and fellow- ship was enjoyed. Vandenherk thanked all those who helped over the Christmas hol- idays, to collect the White Gifts for the needy, to make Christmas bas- kets, or who helped with the Christ- mas Ecumenical, for their contribu- tion. The executive met to fill out and mail the annual CWL national report forms.
