CENTRALIA - The Centralia
community was saddened by the
recent death of a long-time
resident and friend, Aurelia
(Toots) Bowden, the wife of Fred
Bowden. Toots was an enthusiastic
member of Centralia United
Chdfch who generously
contributed her time and energy to
support the church.
For several years, she was
church treasurer and taught
Sunday School, and she also
participated in many of the UCW
activities. In addition, she was a
former correspondent for the
Exeter Times -Advocate. We
extend our sincere sympathy to her
family.
Our thoughts are also with Keith
Hern and his family after the death
of Keith's father, Ross, on
Tuesday, January 18.
On Sunday, Rev. Clare Geddes
gave an interesting sermon entitled
"Bare Feet in the Palace". Also on
Sunday Confirmation Classes
began at Exeter United Church.
This is it! The long-awaited
annual congregational meeting
will be held next Sunday, at 2 p.m.
after the service and a pot luck
luncheon. Everyone's invited to
participate in these activities.
The previous Communications
Workshop has been postponed to
Wednesday, February 2 at I p.m.
at Centralia United Church.
