Child Find is a program that Pam Bell devotes most of her
free time towards.
The Exeter resident volunteers as a kid check coordinator
for Child Find. That means she sets up the fingerprinting pro-
grams and puts together information packages.
. When she started in 1991, Bell was busy every other week-
end -as the newly formed Child Find went through the county
fingerprinting children. The organization has only been i,
this area since 1990, Bell said.
"A lot of parents don't realize the program is offered and
that it is free," she said.
The volunteers also .set up displays at special events to raise
awareness of the program and fingerprint children. They also
hold penny sales and carnivals to raise money for the pro-
gram.
Bell's volunteer hours joke up a lot of her time, but site said
once you get the hang of juggling different schedules it's fairly
easy and very rewarding.
in the past she has also volunteered with the Seaford: Hos-
pital.

Ns.LET THE HEART SPEAK
BOB FLETCHER
Consolation. Its such an easy word, yet when it comes to consoling
someone whb has lost a loved one, rffany people find it difficult to express
themselves. Here are some suggestions:
1. Don't worry about what tb say. Just speak from the heart. $orrrtlmes
touching or hugging is more comforting than mere words.
2. Dong worryabet( what to bring. Bring yoursetf, and give of yoursef, your
time, your listening ear.
3. Be there later on, after the initial rush of visitors has passed.Birthdays,
anniversaries and holidays are hard times to be alone.
4. If there are children In the family, listen to them, and don't hide your tears
Ask each child 11 he or she wants to attend the funeral, and accept each
answer as right for that chili.
5. Don't stay away. Even if you'Je afraid you'll say att the wrong things, even
if you 're tooupsetto saybnything. Grieving people remember your

Spirltual adventure
for church members
LUCAN - In a society where so
many people h e experienced the
pain of bro en dreams, it's
appealing to be encouraged to
dream dreams again - even to
dream big dreams!
Members of Community Bible
Church, corner of Adelaide St. and
Highway #7, will be challenged to
do just that for 50 days up to
Easter. Pastor Doug Loveday says
his .people will be going on a 50=
Day Spiritual Adventure from
February 13 through April 3 called
'Daring to Dream Again: Breaking
through Barriers That Hold Us
Back.'
A 50 -Day Spiritual Adventure is
a program of accelerated spiritual
growth designed by The Chapel of
the Air Ministries. This year,
according to Pastor Loveday, The
Chapel of the Air Ministries
expects close to 8,000 churches to
go on the adventure, nationwide.
This year the adventure will
challenge adventurers to: Let go of
a painful past and hurts that can
keep us from moving forward.
'Each day participants will
encounter God through prayer,
Bible reading and by recording
"God Hunt" sightings, to recognize
the ways God works in our lives
every day.
"I'm delighted that community
Bible Church can be part of such a
dynamic move of God," says Pastor
Loveday. "We expect that doing
the Adventure together will bring
about many positive changes as we
dream God's big dreams." Pastor
Loveday invites anyone who would
like to be a part of this Adventure
to call 225-2580 at the church for
more information.

Alcohol and many drugs are a bad combination.
Oversedation is one of the problems that may
occur. Alcohol and A.S.A., can produce a more
pronounced stomach irritation. This can be
dangerous especially if you have or have a history
of a peptic ulcer. Avoid A.S.A. with 8-10 hours of
alcohol consumption.
It is better to breathe in through your nose than your mouth. Your nose
filters, moisturizes and warms the air before it goes to the lungs. Use
your mouth for exhaling, food and talking.
Women are victims of a very disabling form of discrimination ... Arthritis.
It affects three times more women than men.
Anal itching is annoying and can be caused by some common food
items, like coffee, tea, cola drinks, beer, chocolate and tomatoes. Itch
can occur 1-2 days after a certain threshold level is reached in the
body. Ask our pharmacists for help in relieving this problem.
