HENSALL - Queensway residents travelled over to Hensall Public
School for a sneak preview of their Christmas concert. The children per-
formed well, and everyone had a great time. On Tuesday. Mark Gaskin,
from Carmel Presbyterian Church, was in for a special Christmas worship
servile.
Nursing home residents received a special invitation over to Nancy Phil-
lips house this week for a Christrnas Tea Party. They enjoyed themselves
sitting around a beautiful Christmas tree and eating home -baked goodies!
Baking club members met on Friday afternoon. Chocolate nut bars were
made and they will be sampled soon at the hot chocolate party,
Residents gathered together for the Saturday afternoon movie matinee.
The movie was called "All 1 Want for Christmas". It was a happy ending
let people left with tears in their eyes.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
ZONING BY-LAW UPDATE PROGRAM
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the
Township of McGillivray will hold a public meeting on Monday,
January 24, 1994 at 7:00 p.m. to consider a proposed
zoning by-law amendment as part of its Zoning By-law Update
Program under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990.
The proposed by-law amendment will address a number of
matters of a general nature including: exclusion of lands
previously forming part of Canadian National Railway right-of-
ways from the Townships existing lot of record policy;
clarification as to the fencing of group homes abutting the
Hamlet Residential zone; modifications to the "Mobile
Home" and "Modular, Home" definitions; incorporation of
revised Mobile Home regulations both generally and within
the General Agricultural (A1) and Restricted Agricultural (A2)
zones; prohibition of kennels within the Hamlet Residential
zone; deletion of the current Separation Distance regulations
in favour of the Agricultural Code of Practice.
As well, site-specific issues will be considered involving'Ihe,
following properties: 1. Part Lot 28, North Boundary',
Concession; 2. Part Lot 15, Concession 9; 3. Part Lots 17,
18, 19, 20, Concession 10.
At this meeting a draft manure storage by-law will also be
presented for public input.
ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make
written or verbal representation either in support of or in
opposition to the proposed zoning by-law amendment.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION relating to this matter is available
for review at the Township Municipal Office during regular
business hours. Inquiries may also be directed to the
Township's Planner, Ms. Barbara Rosser, at293-3210.

EXETER - The Womens' Minis-
tries' from the Exeter Pentecostal
Tabernacle, was held at the home
of Jean Jolly December 9 at 2 p.m.
Jean Triebner presided over the
service, and led in some Christmas
carols, which were "Hark the Her-
ald Angels Sing" and "Joy to the
World."
Marion Triebner accompanied
on the piano.
The roll call was taken and an-
swered by a scripture verse on Re-
joice.
After the minutes of the last
meeting were given by Shirley
Prouty and the teasurer's report by
Helen Kendrick, it was decided to
send $l00 to the India's Boy's
School, Brazil Orphanage, Argen-
tina Orphanage, Mozambique
Feeding Program. They are send-
ing $200 to Thailand Blind School
and Needy Children.
Mary Lowden read for her spe-
cial "Christmas around the
World." She also read a poem enti-
tled "Christmas Times".
Marion Triebner gave a mission-
ary reading concerning the group's
adopted missionaries, Rev. and
Mrs. A Papadopoulos from
Greece.

the days of Christmas begin with a
carol service at 7:15 p.m. on Fri-
day, December 14, with -Mass at t
7:45 p.m. Masses on Saturday,
Christmas Day are at 9 and 11 a.m.;
on Sunday at 9 and 11 a.m.
The church choir has been invited
to sing Christmas carols at Oak-
wood Inn on Thursday, December
23, from 7-8:30 p.m. Please feel

made up for shut ins.
