Women
ZURICH - The Zurich Lutheran
Church women and visitors en-
joyed the program presented by
committee members Marie
Deichert, Leona Reichert and Mar-
garet Hess assisted by Marlene
Taylor, at their December 14
meeting.
The program opened with music
and song provided by Laurie Erb
and daughters Ashley and Sepha-
nie.
Marie then presented the "Mes-
sage of the Angels" a combination
of hymns, prayer, and dialogue.
Mrs. Margaret Deichert installed
the executive for the coming year.
Phylis Deichert as president,
Marilyn Heimerich as vice presi-
dent, Doris Hamilton as secretary
treasurer.

Hospital Auxiliary entertained
EXETER - The South Huron Hospital Auxiliary
was entertained last Tuesday for Christmas by the
Hospital Staff.
Joanne Bowen and Brenda McDonald along with
other staff provided a lively skit followed by Mary
Lynn Hetherington playing for a sing song of Christ-
mas carols.
A lunch was served by the Staff.
The Hospital Auxiliary members moved to give
the Hospital board $25,000.00.
Donna Thiel was the winner of the quilt with Don
Currel, hospital administrator, drawing the lucky
ticket.
Mary Carlton presented Marjorie Johns, president,
with a cheque for $2,500.00 from the gift shop.
A successful bake sale was held before the meeting
at the gift shop.
December meeting for UCW
EXETER - Marian Dougall
president presided for the Decem-
ber meeting of the UCW afternoon
unit and opened with the Purpose,
roll call was answered with some-
thing reminding the members of
Christmas. The minutes were read
and treasurers report given. Plans
were made to buy Christmas gifts
for Braemore. Profit from the ba-
zaar was $4075.51.
Oliver Thomson gave the quilt
report - six have been done since
October and there are several to do

PCW hold meeting
EXETER - The Presbyterian
Church Women met Monday, De-
cember 13.
Margaret Strang opened the
meeting with a reading and Rev.
Charles Henderson called the group
` to worship with a hymn "0 Come
all Ye Faithful".
' Maybelle Cann read from the
Bible and we • then sang "0 Little
Town of Bethlehem".
The Bible was read by Floy Fore-
man and we sang the carol "As
with Gladness Men of Old" fol-
lowed by prayer.
Several members gave readings
about Christmas customs.
Honorary Membership in the
Women's Missionary Society of the
Presbyterian Church in Canada was
presented to Helen Bridge, Floy
Foreman, Hazel Pryde, Lois Learn
and to Edna Simmons.
The offering was dedicated by
Margaret Strang and the business

The Secret Pal Christmas gifts
were given out and Rev. Henderson

NOTICE OF PU.BLIC MEETING CONCERNING A Air
PROPOSED OFFICIAL PLAN AMENDMENT
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Hibbert will hold a public
meeting on January 24, 1994 at 8:00 p.m. at the Township Hall in ZTAFFA to consider a
proposed Official Plan Amendment under Sections 17 and 21 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990.
The proposed Official Plan Amendment consists of several changes in policy that are of a
general nature and it has been initiated by Hibbert Township Council. Most of the land in the
Township will be affected by the proposed Official Pian Amendment.
Outlined below is a brief summa(' of some of the changes that are being proposed. Copies of
the actual Official Plan Amendment document (with related maps) can be obtained at the
Township Office in Dublin during office hours.
1. Supplementary farm housing policies are to be amey,ded to limit the type of dwelling to a
mobile home or a granny flat within the "Agriculture" designation subject to specific criteria.
2. Secondary farm occupations are to be permitted in the "Agriculture" designation subject to
specific criteria.
3. Hamlet boundaries are to be adjusted
4. Bed and breakfast establishments are to be permitted in the Agriculture" designation
subject to specific criteria.
5. "Environmental Protection" designation and related policies are to be replaced with a "Flood
Constraint Area" designation and a "Flood Plain" designation and related policies. Policies
for the "Flood Constraint Area" and "Flood Plain" designations are intended to be more
permissive than the former 'Environmental Protection" designation policies.
6. Policies relating to Ontario's Wetlands and Aggregate Resources Policy Statements will be
added to the Official Plan.
7. Agricultural consent policies that will prohibit the division of original 40 hectare farm lots
into two parcels will be added.
8. Surplus farm house severance policies are to be amended to require that both farms subjec
to the severance shall be localied in Hibbert Township.
9. New policies will be added to the "Implementation" section of the Official Plan to deal with

Please note that the descriptions in Items 1 to 9 above are Intended to be a brief summary

ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation
either in support of or in opposition to the proposed Official Plan Amendment.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION relating to the proposed Official Plan Amendment is available for
inspection during office hours at the Township Offices.
