Sing -song in Hensafl;
HENSALL - As Christmas draws
closer, residents at Queensway are
both busy and excited. Many peo-
ple are still involved in daily activi-
ties such as fun and fitness, but
lately the fun has been all about
Christmas. Joyce Pepper played the
piano for the Christmas sing -song
on Monday. Tuesday was an excep-
tional day: a special guest came to
visit. Rev. Gerald Wilson from
Grand Bend entertained us with a
fantastic ventriloquist show. Every-
one enjoyed the humour of the
show, yet appreciated the important
message he had to give on the true
meaning of Christmas. Later in the
evening, the Christian Reformed
Singers put on a musical program,
which included some beautiful
Dutch selections.
Supper club members of the
month met on Thursday night for
delicious Italian cuisine, consisting
of lasagna and garlic bread. The
week ended with more talented en-
tertainment. Peter Snell's students
from Hensall Public School arrived
at Queensway to put on a Christ-
mas program. The students sang, out hand -made Christmas cards to
danced and played the piano. The the residents.

Good old-fashioned spirit in Zurich
ZURICH - Last Monday after-
noon the residents of Blue Water
Rest Home gathered in the auditori-
um to watch the video "Miracle on
34th Street". The movie helped to
spread more of that good old fash-
ioned Christmas spirit throughout
the Home.
Tuesday Doreen Dougherty visit-
ed the Home with her collection of
home-made potpourri and cloth gift
bags. Many residents and staff en-
joyed perusing her wares and se-
lecting that unusual gift.

Capsule Comments
with Ernie Miatello
Many people have trouble swallowing tablets and
capsules. Here's a helpful hint ... swallow some wa-
ter first, put the pill as far bsck on the tongue as
possible, then drink a big gulp of water. By the way,
stand up when you do this. Gravity will help get that
pill down.

We can't say enough about the bad effects of uncontrolled hyperten-
sion. Those affected are 4 times more likely to have a heart attack, 7
times the chance of having a stroke, and twice as likely to develop kid-
ney disease. Have you had your blood pressure checked lately?
There are three main reasons why people can't lose weight. They are
habit, boredom and stiess. Think about it.
Remember through the holiday season that alcohol and automobiles are
a bad combination. Please, don't drink then drive.
