About 40 million North Americans snore. Did yea
know that the highest recorded decibel level of a
snorer is 90 db!? That's almost as loud as a power
saw! By the way, In the over -60 age group, 60% of
men end 40% of women snore.
More sleep facts: 2.5% of adults sleepwalk regular-
ly; We spend about 220,000 hours asleep during our lifetime; The aver-
age person moves 40-60 times each night during sleep. (1 guess we
don't really "sleep like a log“.)
What do you do when you get a really dry mouth (often as a side effect
of certain medications)? Here are some ideas: 1) Suck on sugarless
candles 2) Brush and floss regularly. (Plaque can build up more rapidly
in a dry mouth). 3) Suck Ice chips, 4) Spray the mouth with warm water
from an atomizer. 5) Ask our pharmacist about oral lubricant rinses.
11 appears there's an .unspoken discrimination against smokers In the
job market. A recent study done in Washington state found that 53% of
employers gave preference to non-smoking Job applicants over those
who smoked.
High blood pressure... "the silent killer". Since high blood pressure is
symptomless, many people don't know they have it. Have you had your
blood pressure checked lately? It's important for your better health.
