December luncheon enjoyed by Grand Bend Golden Agers By Jean Dann GRAND BEND - Eighty mem- bets attended the December lunch- eon meeting of the 'Grand Bend Golden Agers Club Wednesday at the Royal Canadian Legion. Members at the November meet- ing had decided to have the usual light luncheon for the December meeting and instead of the tradi- tional turkey dinner members would bring donations of non- perishable food to assist the Grand Bend Lioness with their Christmas food hampers. The idea turned out to be a great success. Grand Bend Public school grade seven and eight classes entertained after lunch with special Christmas music and carols. Members then enjoyed singing Christmas carols led by member Larry Cole and ac- companied by Annie Lyttle playing the Club's Yamaha Clavinova. President Ron Dann thanked eve- ryone for helping to make every- thing so successful and adjourned the meeting for members to enjoy carpet bowling, euchre etc. The next luncheon meeting will be at 12:30 Wednesday, January 5 in the Royal Canadian Legion hall.
