lage to the home of Ron and Pat
Morrison. TheMorrisons have over
the past eight years made a collec-
e on of miniature houses which
'have been constructed by them-
selves. Each of the seven houses
and one general store, arc on a
=swivel base, which then turned to
reveal the fully furnished interior of
the house, tight down to the tiniest
detail. Santa Claus made an early
visit to the children and hot choco-
late and Christmas cookies were
'enjoyed.
• There was a good attendance for
skating as 64 skaters and spectators
met at the Hensall arena for an hour
of skating. Lots of smiling and ex-
cited faces greeted our friends and
Scripture Rangers as they stepped
onto the ice. _
Ken Pinto, a missitf lliti 1 rn 1n-
dia, minute ed in' the morning ser-
vice with a very encouraging and
challenging message entitled "What
u, do when nothing seems to
work". He hopes to he back in In-
dia with his family for Christmas.
A delicious meal was served by
the ladies of the Triviu Anglican
Church for the annual Christmas
Banquet on Friday evening. Guest
speaker was Ron Westlake who is
very involved in Youth for Christ
in the area. Roger . and Cathy
Swance of Elimville opened their
home for additional fellowship fol-
lowing the banquet.
The Faithwalkers decorated the
-Sunday School bus for the Exeter
and Huron park parades on the
weekend. They' headed for Bruce -
field Saturday evening to Youth for
Christ where they did well on their
quizzing thtd listened to the band
"Haven".
The entire Sunday School has
been busily preparing for lis Christ-
mas concert on Sunday evening
December 12 at 7:00. A wide va-
riety of skits, songs, poems and in-
strumentals, just to name a few,
will fill this always enjoyable eve-
ning.
This will be the last regular Lost
and Found Club evening until Jan-
uary 5. Scheduled for Wednesday,
,december 15 is a night of Christ-
' mas earolling throughout Huron
Pmk and Centralia.
WM will gather for a time of Car-
olling to a few shertins before their
regular meeting on Friday, Deoetn-
ber 17, followed by a double baby
shower for the newest additions,
Mikala Crawford and Rebekah
Scott
A youth year end fellowships is
planned for Saturday night at the
home of Doug and Henny Parker in
Exeter. Pick up at Theo's at 6:00.
Santa was busy on Saturday at his workshop in downtown
Exeter. But he still had time to hear what 13 -month old
Stephanie Pratt wanted for Christmas this year.
Santa's workshop on the Main Street in Exeter was visited by
a special helper on Saturday. The White Squirrel gets a hug
from Nathan DeBoer while Lara Spring looks on.
VARNA - The Trends Christmas
Party is Thursday, December 10 at
Brucefield Church from 7-8:30
p.m.
The Teen Set will meet .at the
Bluewatcr Nursing Home in Zurich
at 6:30 p.m. on Dect'mbcr 12 for
carolling. Everyone is asked to
bring three dozen cookies. They
will return to Brucefield Church.
U.C.W.
The Vama U.C.W. held their an-
nualChristmas meeting with apot-
luck supper with former members
and friends joining them.
President Joyce Dowson wel-
comed everyone and the dinner was
enjoyed by all.
Dowson made a few announce-
ments. The program committee for
January is Marg Hayter and Barb
Consiu. December 10 the U.C.W.
will be catering to the Co-op
Christmas dinner.

Church news
Sunday, December 12 will be
White Gift Sunday and the Sunda
School Concert combined. There
will be lunch following so please
bring sandwiches and dessert
December 19 there will be regu-
lar services and a service of carols
and candies m Varna at 7:30 p.m.
December 24 at 7:30 p.m. in
Goshen will be a birthday party for
Jesus, a Christmas Eve Family ser-
vice in Goshen.
Personals
Last Saturday evening many peo-
ple from. Stanley Township, Hill &
Hill, Bell Telephone, and Kevin
Bridge Fred Mill were together for
a Christmas Dinner and a dance at
tithe Stanley Township Complex.

Christmas numbers requested along
with some jokes. Anna Keys read
"Bessie's Boil". Christmas presents
were given out to everyone. The
person with the nearest birthday
was Don Beauchamp and the
grandfather with the most grand-
children was Clare Masse with 42.
Six tables of euchre were played
with winners Mae McBride, Mer-
vyn Hayter, Margaret Armstrong
and Floyd McAsh.
