Blue Wat holds dinner
ZURICH - Last Monday after-
noon the residents of Blue Water
Rest Home gathered in the auditori-
um to watch the movie "The New
Adventures of Bieck Beauty".
Rev. Henry Armen introduced
himself as the new minister at Hen-
sall United Church before conduct-
ing Thursday afternoon Chapel Ser-
vice. Fr. Matthias Wronski, St.
Boniface Church, Zurich celebrated
Mass.
A welcome and thank you to
Diane Kaak of Crediton who is vol-
unteering one afternoon per week
to help Anne McBride and Gladys
Martin supervise the residents in
the Hobby Room.
Josef Risi held bingo with the
residents on Thursday evening to
allow the staff to celebrate their
Christmas Dinner on Friday eve-
ning at the Zurich Community Cen-
tre.
Sunday, during a soft sprinkle of
snow, the families of the residents
gathered at the Home for the annual
Christmas Dinner. Everyone en-
joyed the music provided by Jim
and Rene Young, Fred Harburn and
a nameless individual who played
for the "Notes of Yesteryear" of
Seaforth, Christa Keller's piano so-
los and Mozart Gelinas and his
group of Gladys Van Egmond, Lio-
na McBride and Marlene Desjar-
dine. The kitchen staff, under the
direction of Kathy Steckle, Cook
Supervisor once again provided a
meal fit for a king as over 350
guests arrived for the afternoon.
With guests, residents, Directors
and Home Auxiliary members over
450 mouths were filled.
Congratulations to Clarence
Smillie in winning the yellow com-
forter which was drawn on Sunday
at the Christmas Dinner. Clarence
is a resident at Blue Water Rest
Home Apartments and his wife
Anne is a resident at the Home.

Steinbach who spent a few days at
South Huron Hospital, Exeter. He
was kidded that he was at some
type of a pajama party as he arrived
back home in his blue stripe flanne-
lettes.
The Hobby Room is in need of
old wallpaper rolls o make crafts
with. Anyone with old ends of
wallpaper, please bring them into
the Home to be recycled.
Seleda Steckle, a B.W.R.H.
Apartment dweller, travelled to Ot-
tawa on Thursday to watch the
swearing in ceremonies of her sun
Paul Steckle. Seleda enjoyed a tons
of the parliament buildings before
returning home that evening.

sop was in charge of the first Sun-
day in Advent and Mission and Ser-
vice Sunday church service on
Sunday morning.
