Forthcoming marriage Mr.
and Mrs. Gary Hayter are

STAFFFA - Marjorie Drake was
the planner for the Canadian Indus-
tries meeting of the Staffa Women's
Institute, held on Wednesday after-
noon, November 24.
Seven members travelled by car
to the General Manufactured Hous-
ing inc. in 'Henan, where they
were met by Pam Mallette, Sales
Administrator and Gabriel Robi-
chaud, General Manager.
They briefed the Institute mem-
bers on the types and styles of
homes which they manufactured
and then took the group on a walk-
ing tour of the plant, where they
viewed homes under construction
and at different stages of comple-
tion. They then went through two
homes that were completed and fur-
nished:
The members expressed their
thanks for a most interesting tour,
and then back to Staffa Township
hall for the remainder of the meet-
ing.
After president Joyce Miller
opened the business meeting mem-
bers answered the roll call by nam-
ing something that they make for
Church Christmas, that they don't make any
other time of the year.

friend of the groom. ,Ushers
were Brian MoArter, brother
of the groom; Dave Boltz-
mann, brother of the bride;
end Gary Pipe, friend of the
groom. Flowergirl was Kelsey
Holtzmann, niece of the bride
and ringbearer was Justin Bu-
chanan, friend of the bride.
Soloist was Julie Go?ibolt and
organist was Ralph Topp. The
couple is now residing in Ex-
eter.

Pian Christmas activities
for Crediton United Church
CREDITON - A busy schedule of
Christmas events has been planned
for Crediton United Church.
Following the regular worship
service on Sunday,- December 5, a
congregational meeting will be held
when board of stewards chairman
Doug Lightfoot will present the
proposed budget for 1994.
The same day at noon hour, the
youth group of the church will en-
ter a float in the annual village of
Centralia Santa Claus parade. The
youth will decorate the float this
coming Saturday afternoon at 2
p.m.
Sunday, December 12 will be
White Gift Sunday and C.G.I.T.
members will participate in the
morning worship "service.
On Sunday, December 19 the
Sunday School Christmas program
with superintendent Harry Schrocd-
er in charge will be presented at 10
a.m.
The same day anyone who can
sing or wish,they could is invited to
participate. in a trip through the
streets of Crediton singing Christ-
mas carols. The wagon will leave
the church at 7:30 p.m.
On Friday, December 24 it's time
for the annual Christmas Eve Can-
dlelight service at 8:30 p.m.
Senior choir practice this week is
tonight, Wednesday at 8 p.m.
A number of Crediton and area
residents are patients in area hospi-
tals. Irene Schlenker, Sloss Pepper
and Eva Sweitzcr-Grigg arc in
South Huron Hospital in Exeter
while in London, Lome Voigt is at
St. Joseph's and John Hamilton is at
University Hospital.
