(45tfn) CLASSIFIEDS !kV 235-1331 Students will once again paint town windows for Christmas EXE I'HR - The art students of South Huron District High School will at town businesses in the morn- ings between November 29 and De- cember 3. They will be decorating their windows with brightly painted Christmas scenes. Art teacher SuzAnne Maple asks that businesses interested in having their windows painted contact her at the high school at 235-0880. In past years, some stores hrve re- quested paintings after seeing their • neighbour's decorated. However, the students are only available that week. Maple said that the students need about two weeks of prior prepara- tion to get their designs ready, so interested businesses should con- tact the school as soon as possible. She said as many as 56 students, or more, will make up the team of painters, and all work is started by 9 a.m. and finished by noon, dis- rupting business as little a possible. In the past, some businesses have made small donations to the school to help with the purchase of sup- plies, but Maple says that is not mandatory. The students can supply all need- , ed materials, but do ask that water be available for clean up purposes, and a ladder for painting. Repairs to MacNaughton Park dam to begin soon EXETER - Work will begin soon on repairs to the north wall of the small dam in Exeter's MacNaugh- ton Park. McCann Redi Mix won the con- tract with a tender price of $33,642.94 and will be aiming to complete the project before winter sets in. Kate Monk at the Ausable Bay- field Conservation Authority ex- plained that the excavation of the existing wall had to wait this late in the year to make sure the Nabisco canning plant no longer had need for the water it extracts from the small reservoir. The new wall will extend to join up with the erosion control project on the river's banks that was in- stalled last year. A dam has long been a feature of the Ausable River as it passes through Exeter. Originally, the riv- er was dammed up for mill ponds, and later for supplying the canning factory with cooling water. Monk said she is intereatod. in seeing what the excavations will uncover about the dam. Records show it was upgraded in the 1950s and in the 1930s. "i wouldn't be surprised if it had been there befog the turn of Vee century," she said. A resume detailing an applicant's work history and education is extremely helpful to an employer who is seeking a person for a specific job vacancy. Your Personal resume should accompany your letter of application. Here are sortie guidelines to follow in preparing your resume: U Make it clear, concise and easy to read - and no longer than two pages LI The resume should be typed on 8 1/2" x,1.1" white paper with enough white space to prevent a clattered look U Start with your name, address and phone number Ui Next under a sub-h4ading "Work History" detail the previous jobs you've held - in t`everse date order - that is, last job first. U Use a separate paragraph for each position and precede it with the dates you held that position. U State the job title, a brief description of the responsibilities - and the results you achieved. Li The next section of your resume should come under the sub -heading of "Education". Start with the highest degree obtained or grade completed, followed by the name of the institution at which you studied. Follow this with previous education attainments. At the end, list any specific instructional courses you have attended in conjunction with your work. Under the sub -heading "Affiliations", list memberships and/or offices held in professional or industry associations.
