The caller will be given the 1-800-265-7191 number to call in the case of an emergency or he/she may leave a non- emergency message on the an- swering machine. If the message is for an officer it will be left for his/her attention . If it's a general enquiry an officer will return that person's call, when an officer becomes available. If the caller. wants to contact the O.P.P. immediately about a prob- lem they may still use the 1 -800 - number This addition to the telecommu- nication system will allow the pub- lic to make direct contact with their detachment 24 hours a day.
