Costume pwty
held in Centralia
CENTRALIA - A wide array of "characters" arrived at the Centralia
Community Centre on Wednesday night for Faith Tabernacle's Bible cos-
tume party: It was a difficult job for the judges to pick only 12 to receive a
prize! Four teams were made and teachers Verlyn Huston, Linda Hender-
son, Henny Parker and Bonnie Obre were transformed into Lazarus. Team
number one was the first to completely wrap Verlyn Huston from head to
toe in toilet paper. The highlight was "dress the teacher " in which Ken
Parker, Martin Koolan, Lan -y Henderson and Jamie Parker were dressed
by each team in skirts, boots, shirts, scarf and various other clothing arti-
cles. Team four was the first to dress Larry Henderson in his "attire". Fi-
nally the four men modelled while the kids sang, "From the inside out
God's looking at me"!! Lots of action songs kept the wiggles out and a few
Children were able to participate in a "making Kool-aid" object lesson.
Rice Krispie squares and pop were finishing touches to a fun night fel,
lowed with an apple. Lost and found club will meet at its regular time and
place this week; 7 at the church.
The doors were opened at 6 a.m. on Friday morning for continuous
prayer until 6 a.m. on Saturday for the many needs of this community and
country was well as many thanksgivings.
Morley and Gloria Bordes from Carpentersville, I11. ministered in both
services on Sunday. Gloria ministered in song and Morley brought the
word. This Sunday evening will be a violin concert as Rev. Stanely Ham-
mond of London will be sharing his talent with us.
Don and Alma Plant will have the "Christian response on the Aids vi-
rus", at Youth for Christ at Brumfield Public School on Saturday night be-
ginning at 8. Anyone needing a ride contact Jamie Parker. Go Faithwalk-
ers!!
