The Usbolne Central School Student Council are well Into their activities for the year, having organized the school's Hallowe'en festivities last week. The students "visited' four French cit- ies by sampling that country's music, food, games, and art. Darling's Food Market helped by donating some of the foo items, and the school gym was even decorated as the Louvre. VARNA - The Varna Angels 4-H club met last Monday for their third meeting. Roll call was one of their favour- ite holiday cookies or candy reci- pes. Some discussion was on cookies and candies, what they are and where they originated from. A holi- 'day word search was completed and they discussed goodies as gifts. Pot pourri balls were then made for one of their crafts. The Trends Youth Group meets November 4 at Brucefield Church from 7-8:30 p.m. The Teen set will meet Sunday, November 14 for bowling and piz- za. Time and place will be an- nounced later. The Varna U.C.W. will hold their Thank Offering Meeting Thursday, November 4 at 8 p.m. in the church. Miriam Jones will be the speaker. The Crokinole Club meets Tues- day, November 9 at 8 p.m. in the Varna Church. New members are welcome. and can join on a regular basis or as a spare. Michael's fine effort along with help from his sister Melissa and Zu- rich M.B.A. bowler Mike Cregan paced their team to a fifth place fin- ish.
