held their Thanksgiving Dessert

Service was held at 8:30 a.m. on

Zurich teen dance sIated for Friday

ZURICH - The Optimist Club
will be having a teen dance at the
Zurich Community Centre on Fri-
day from 7-10 pm for teens 11-15
years old. The cost at the door is $3
with music by Hook's Party Sound.
Pop and chips will be available at
the chaperoned event.
Coming Events
There will be a craft and bake
sale held by ARC industries in
Dashwood on Saturday from 10
am -3 pm. Lunch is also available.
St Peter's CWL parish at St. Jo-
seph is having a penny sale on Sun-
day in the parish hall at 7 pm.
The next mother's time meeting
will be held at the Lutheran Church
on Wednesday morning from 9:15-
11:15 am.
The Mennonite church is having
a harvest of values sale in their fel-
lowship hall next Saturday from
9:30-3:30 pm.
Get your costumes ready for an
adult Hallowe'en party at the Do-
minion Tavern next Saturday.
There will be prizes, and entertain-
ment.
Leaf pick-up days in Zurich will
be next Wednesday from noon until
1 pm and on November 10, at the
same times. Leaves should be in
bags or boxes by the curb.
St. Boniface parish CWL will be
having their annual bazaar on No-
vember 6 from 10-3 pm. in the
school gym.
Tickets are available for food
baskets and quilt as well as draws
on other items. There will also be a
penny sale table, tea room, white
elephant table, hot dog sale, bake
and craft table. All proceeds go to
the building fund.
A tea and bake sale at the Blue
Water Rest Horne will be held on
November 13 from 2-3:30 pm. The
event, sponsored by the ladies aux-
iliary, will feature a bake table,
penny sale table, resident craft sale
and draws for a decorated cake,
baby quilt and comforter. Tea, Cof-
fee and cookies will be served
while visiting.
Don't forget to get tickets for the
Knights of Columbus harvest dance
at the Zurich Community Centre on
November 13 from 9 -1 am. Tick-
ets are $6 and include a lunch and
music by Mozarts Melody Makers.

Women's Fellowship
LUCAN - St. Peter's Lutheran
Church ladies met last Tuesday in
the fellowship hall with 25 ladies
present.

Walker of London as guest speaker.
Mary Walker has several careers
as Registered Interior design con-
sultant; newspaper columnist; lec-
turer; and author.
She has completed two courses
on learning to be an earth keeper.
and was one of 63 to attend an in-
ternational earth education confer-
ence. As an author she has recorded
her experiences of l,jving in the arc-
tic.
The educational material she has
written for Grade 4 students will
promote caretakers of Mother
Earth.
Preparations were made for the
fall workshop on October 16 with
90 people expected.
Our next meeting will be Novem-
ber 8.
