Female hormone patches + exercise = head-
ache? This has happened to some women be-
oause aerobics causes a dilation of the blood .%
vessels of the skin causing an increase in ab-
sorption of the drug from the patch.

Flu season is coming. Flu shots are recommended for those over
65, and anyone with heart disease, diabetes, asthma or any
Tung disorder. If you have an allergy to eggs or egg products, you
shouldn't have the shot since it could give you a severe allergy.

HENSALL - Thanksgiving might
be over but there are still lots of ac-
tivities at Queensway. As many res-
idents as possible participated in
fun and fitness last Tuesday.
The idea was to wear off any ex-
tra calories from too much turkey
and pie.
Cordell Parsons from Exeter
United Church was the minister for
our worship service in the after-
noon. Margaret Coates played the
piano for us. It is always a special
treat to have a resident available to
use their special talents in order to
benefit everyone.
Geri Fashions from London spent
the entire day at Queensway last
Thursday. Several people were pur-
chasing new clothing items for the
fall and winter season.
Some of the residents had fun
participating in the afternoon fash-
ion show: Martha Moody, Mildred
Gingerich, Ruth Church, Aleida
Kats,.and Muriel Gunning all mod-
elled the latest fashions very nicely.
Thank you to Eileen Rannic who I
made a special trip to come in and
model for us as well. The afternoon
was enjoyable for all, especially
those who won prizes.
Last Friday was the special day
of the week. Some residents experi-
enced their first fall outing. We i
picked a • beautiful day for a fall
drive through 4the country. People
re9lly appreciated viewing the fabu-
lous colours of the autumn leaves.
We ended the trip in Dashwood at
Kaethe's Kaffee Haus.
Everyone enjoyed hot coffee and
homemade pie. A special thanks
goes out to Dorothy Britnell and
Margaret Cole for making this day
possible.
The week ended with a Saturday
movie matinee. the iesidents
watched a movie entitled "The
Beat". The setting was gorgeous; it
took place ih beautiful British Co-
lumbia.
