from making jam in the war years,
the involvement in the ploughing
match and up to the present year.
Guest speaker was Peggy Knapp,
arca president of Canada of the

the district institute as a block in
the quilt, the area Women's Insti-
tute as the top of the quilt, each one
involved up to the country institute
women of the World A.C.W.W.

Homet Trees
We would like to thank everyone at the
Ausable-Bayfield Conservation
Authority for finding a home for the
100 white ash trees we received from
Tree Plan Canada last week.
Special thanks to Steve Harburn and
the students who, through an
agricultural symposium at Centralia
College, elected to assist in the
planting of these trees.
We are proud to be a part of the IGA
Hometown Trees Program. As a result
of this program, thousands of trees
were planted in dozens of
communities all over Ontario . Ours
were planted in an .area which
encircled the sports fields in Huron
Park.
Thanks for helping to plant the future
for Ontario!
