ZURICH - The Zurich W.I. held
their monthly meeting last Monday
at'the home of Donna Merner, with
17 members.preisent.
The committee for the meeting
was Mildred Kiopp. Donna Merner,
and Bridget Groot. Their speaker,
Mrs. Benneu gave an excellent out-
line of the work done in Somalia
and Ethiopia by our churches here,
by raising grains for the Food Grain
Bank.
These grains are then sent to
those countries for distribution to
the poor and needy. She visited
these countries travelling with rep--
resentalives from Canadian
Churches.
Her slide pictures of the country,
showing poverty, improper hous-
ing. shortage and poor drinking wa-
ter, enduring dreadful hardships,
make us appreciate:,our country.
Bridget then presented her with a
plant. The meeting was closed.and
lunch served by the committee.
