NNIVERSARY SEAL
THE SAPS OF ONTARIO
1 mean, come on! Are we really the SAPS of the world; and maybe even
the wimps of the world! Here we arc laying people off by the thousand,.,
people losing business, people actually starving, hospitals closing for lack of.
funds and here we are spending 30 million dollars for FRENCH UNIVER-
SITIES in ONTARIO plus 4 million for french signs in Ontario. Lc -
connate in Quebec. If a tympany answers the phone too many tunes with
"Hello" fust. instead of "Bonjour" the LANGUAGE POLICE will insist
they'do.
This is a fact one guy is goto court because he has an apostrophe in
m
his shoe -store's nae BROWN'S SHOES. Other people arc going to court
because they dare to have an english word on their signs and yet they're go-
ing to allow STOP AND ARRET on their stop signs and you know why?
Because they were told the word STOP is a french word. They've stopped
booing the NATIONAL ANTHEM because it was explained to them that a
french guy wrote the anthem.
The signs will be bilingual in accordance with the province's french lan-
LIguage laws and transportation ministry spokesman ANNE MACLAUGH-,
N said (why couldn't they say spokeswoman anyway?) What's this
spokesperson bullshit? Talk about Saint hearts).
Get this now: on the signs, let's say the downtown signs, where it now
says Centre-de-ville, we now have two arrows pointing, yes I said two ar-
rows (I guess the ono arrow is a bench arrow) and have you noticed that the
colour of the new signs ase green and yellow. Yeh the N.D.P. colours. (Fun-
ny I can't find one person that will admit voting N.D.P.)
ONE POLITICIAN WHO MAKES Bb.NSE
MAyD[JR HAZEL MAC CULIAON (God love her) has balanced the
MISSISSAUGA BUDGET and has not raised MISSISSAUGA TAXES.
She tells it like it is, "lets get our priorities in order, we have bigger prob-
lems than road sins in this economy."
But n000... heti not listen to a person who
can talk sense and balance if budget. kis hs -
i tart to the wisdom of a person who comes up
with this statement about the french signs.
And I quote "We will eliminate clutter in our
signs." Guess which one of the signs that'll
• be eliminated. "Reduce Speed on et Pave-
ment" in other words SWPPF.RY WHEN
WET". Well. when we do a spinout and
crash into a wall and get killed we can lake
comfort in kpowing that we are learning to
speak FrencKK We in Ontario are a gutless
bunch and wwNeserve anything we get.
