ARC Industries, the Can- HENSALL - Bright and early last Monday morning, eight resi- dents participated in Breakfast Club. They made sausage, english muffins with egg and cheese, and ..cajgyed, them witlijipt coffee dud fresh jaice.ileHeniA Presbyteri- an Church Women came in Mon- day evening to assist the residents in an exciting game of Bingo. Some people even won two prizes. Fun and Fitness took place Mon- day and Tuesday morning. After exercises, several people played memory games, wheel of fortune, and enjoyed some poetry reading. Pastor VanderMeer performed the weekly church service on Tuesday afternoon. We had a great turn out for church. Thursday morning, - Resident Council held its monthly meeting in order to discuss further activity plans and concems from the previ- ous month. Thursday was also the last noon 'barbecue for the year. Paula Rogers (Activity Director) barbecued filet mignon outside in the cool sunshine, and the residents thoroughly enjoyed eating the ten- der steak in the wamr outdoors. The afternoon ended with .a busy baking session. Residents baked two loaves of pumpkin bread for the guests to sample when they at- tend the upcoming Craft and Bake Sale on October 20. Friday was another action packed day with fun and fitness classes, ring tossing and brainstorming ide- as. In the afternoon, while it was dark and raining outside, this did not dampen spirits . Many people recieved plenty of exercise at the balloon volleyball game -and had many laughs as well!. cer Society, the Bluewater Shriners, and the Order of Alham- bra also received donations. ER - The success of Dining for Seniors continues to hinge on the dedicated volunteer - help, Dawne Erb's culinary cuisine, and the smiling faces of those present on a regular basis. September activities included a sing song, a presentation by Pat Skinner on the Huronia Singers (fun to look at familiar faces from far off places), Fred Struckett and Helen Stewart from Grand Cove Estate who thrilled with a few en- chanting dance numbers, and a few enjoyed a travelogue about Alaska September birthday wishes were extended to Harrold Beaver, Annie 11Veiib, Madan; 'TCyukman, Helen Broderick and Helen Hindle. The thoughts and prayers of the seniors were sent out to the families of Marion McLean and Mildred Thomson during this time of loss. Enjoyed by all were some very exciting crokinole and euchre games after dinner.
