exercises, several people played
memory games, wheel of fortune,
and enjoyed some poetry reading.
Pastor VanderMeer performed the
weekly church service on Tuesday
afternoon. We had a great turn out
for church.
Thursday morning, - Resident
Council held its monthly meeting
in order to discuss further activity
plans and concems from the previ-
ous month. Thursday was also the
last noon 'barbecue for the year.
Paula Rogers (Activity Director)
barbecued filet mignon outside in
the cool sunshine, and the residents
thoroughly enjoyed eating the ten-
der steak in the wamr outdoors.
The afternoon ended with .a busy
baking session. Residents baked
two loaves of pumpkin bread for
the guests to sample when they at-
tend the upcoming Craft and Bake
Sale on October 20.
Friday was another action packed
day with fun and fitness classes,
ring tossing and brainstorming ide-
as. In the afternoon, while it was
dark and raining outside, this did
not dampen spirits . Many people
recieved plenty of exercise at the
balloon volleyball game -and had
many laughs as well!.
cer Society, the Bluewater Shriners, and the Order of Alham-
bra also received donations. Behind are Friedsburg commit-
tee members Teresa VanRaay (middle row left), Kim Hoffman,
Valerie Ford, Elaine Hayter, Karen Schade, Connie Masse,

thanks to Penny, whose enthusiasm and creativity real-
ty contributed to making my day the most beautiful one
I could imagine. 'The flowers she arranged were gor-

put her heart into it as much as I would have if 1
was doing it myself. Thanks!"
