To give you an idea what that amounts looks like, it's about one teaspoonful of salt. Sodium is found In many foods and medications so make a habit of reading the fine print before yoe: buy. 'White -coat hypertension-, is a condition in which a person's blood pressure seems to be higher when tested in the•doctor's office. It might be an idea to purchase one of those home blood pressure kits to see if you are suffering from this syndrome. Kool Aid to diagnose ulcers? Evidently the patient drinks about a half li- tre of Kool Aid (containing 100 mg of sugar). The amount of sugar in the urine is measured after 30 minutes. Since sugar Is not normally ab sorbed via the stomach, unless the stomach lining is traumatized, high urine levels of•sugar means ulcers might be present. Older persons are more susceptible to food poisoning than younger ones, due to weakened immune systems and reduced stomach acid production which limits ability to kill food bacteria.
