meeting- was held at Northwest,
Hensen with Hilda Payne . hostess
and Sadie Hoy co -hostess. Thesoll
call- was answered by stating my
furthest journey from home.
One member laid a fine for not
wearing:her pin. Grace Drummond
gave a reading "Dear Lord, Teach
him Gently" and Thea Wisch.gave
the smile.

in ML Brydges October 14.
The guest speaker, Yvonne Re-
ynolds, gave the history of the
town of York in England, a place
she visited in June. By means of a
slide projector she showed us
many beautiful and interesting
places in York.
A blind auction was held with
Hilda Payne as auctioneer. Hilda
also gave the Curators Workshop
report.
STAFFA - Staffa Women's Insti-
tute members and friends will be
visiting the museum and the Perth
County Archives in Stratford on
Wednesday:
Joyce Fell has received word
from the Westem Ontario Conser-
vatory of Music that she has suc-
cessfully completed the Teachers'
Written Pedagogy Examination
with First class Honours. Joyce is a
student at the University of West-
ern Ontario, in the Music Education
Program.

Pie sale is a success

THAMES ROAD - Rev. Jim All-
sop was back in the pulpit on Sun-
dayafter having been absent since
the fifth of September.
The Call to Worship was taken
from Psalm 25. The Responsive
Reading was "The Shepherd King"
taken from Psalm 78. The choir
sang "look, Look, Look to The
Rainbow" accompanied by organist
Erin Kraftcheck.
The congregation sang the chil-
dren's hymn "Father, Lead Me Day
‘by Day". Rev. Allsop told .the chil-
dren's story about the dictionary
and the Prodigal Son. The 'Scrip-
ture ,Readings were read from exo-
,dus 17:1=7, Phiiippians'2:1-13 Mat-
thew 2133-32.
Rev. Allsop's stumon was enti-
dad "Promises Versus Perfor-
mance".

Meet the Teacher Night
Exeter Public School's Parents Association held a
barbecue last Thursday evening, which was followed by a
meet -the -teacher open house. Here, grade one student

done so far in class to her sister Angela (left), mother
Janet, brother Jeffrey and father Gerald. Exeter Public
School boasts an enrollment some 20 students higher
than last year.
