Runs raise
thousands
EXETER - Dozens of people
were out walking, running, jogging,
biking, and even roller blading to
raise money to fight cancer on Sun-
day.
At Terry Fox Runs in both Exeter
and Zurich, thousands of dollars
were raised, all of which will go di-
rectly to fund cancer research.

Adrian Hartle, reported that just
over 32,000 was raised through
pledges and donations in Exeter.
Thirty-four participants were in the
Exeter event this year, quite a kw
less than in 1992.
The Zurich run also had fewer
participants out on Sunday when
compared to last year, but with 86
in the run and dozens more contrib-
uting to the Zurich run through sep-
arate events at Zurich Public
Scihool, St. Boniface School, and
H'urOn Centennial School, the totals
edged over S10,000.
Organizer Wendy Rowan said
that the Zurich run raised over
54,500, with both St. Boniface and
Zurich Public School raising over
$1,000 each, and Huron Centennial
raising more than 5600.
The annual runs arc held as a
continuation of Terry Fox's Mara-
thon of Hope. Fox maned his goal
of crossing Canada in 1980. but
died frau cancer in June 1981 in
New Westminster B.C. at the age
of 22.

PURPOSE AND EFFECT:
The purpose of the by-law is to change .the zoning on Part of Lot 6, Concession 1, Lon-
don -Road .Survey, formerly in the Township of Tuckersmith, now in the village of Hen-
sall,;toi llow for Iheluttue development of.a residential plan of subdivision.
-F.urdter,:appmximately 5 acres of the subject lands may be developed for a future insti-
tutional :use. A :corresponding Official Plan Amendment (OPA #230) must be approved
bythelMiniatry of Municipal Affairs, before this zoning comes into effect. The applica-
tion for rezoning proposes to change the zoning of the subject lands to FD (Future De-
velopment) and 11 (Institutional - to recognize: an existing village well) on Key Map 1 of
By-law 001-1987.
