The sum and substance of it is, that a
man named Ramsay, purchased fa=
at Wanstead left his wife and family up-

first year of which he sent them money.
Ninny stories reached the wife's ears of
his having become a wealthy man.
The other day, a stranger on a tram,
after making inquiries, gave a neighbor
$350 for her maintenance, and promised
a like sum every year. It has since
leaked out that the man was Ramsay
