Charles Henderson was in charge of the church service on Sunday morning owing to the absence of Rev. Jim Allsop who underwent surgery last Tuesday. The congregation sang the children's hymn "What a Friend We Have in Jesus" and Rev. Hen- derson told the children's story "The Spider's Web". The choir sang "Whither Thou Goest I Will Go" accompanied by the organist Jean Hodgert. Erin Parker read Matthew 9:1-8, Vanessa Bray read Mark 6:47-51; Kristy Bray read John 16:32-33; Megan Parker read Acts 23:10-11, and Robyn Etherington read Acts 27:22-25. Rev. Henderson's sermon was en- titled "Be of Good Cheer". The Official Board Meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 29 at Elimville. Personals Leona Cottle has moved to her new home in Exeter.
