Golden Glimpses
ZURICH - Last Monday after-
noon many residents of Blue Water
Rest Home gathered in the auditor-
ium to watch the video of Dumbo
on the TV screen. Some moisture
came to the eyes of some of the
residents. Walt Disney does do that
to you at times!
Last Tuesday Ted Steinbach,
Nelson Howe, Madeline Harburn,
Marcella Deitrich, Mary Romanis-
zyn, Ruby Hoggarth, Oriole West-
lake, Kurt Gebel travelled to
Springbank Park in London for a
picnic lunch. They witnessed many
toddlers and children playing in the
park and enjoying the summer
weather. In spite of Cathy Shantz'
careful planning, this trip has been
cancelled three times' because of
impending rain. Once the picnic
lunch was complete the rain did
start to come down and shortened
their stay. So much for Story Book
Gardens and the Three Little Pigs.
A thank you to the many suppli-
ers of fresh fruit and vegetables to
the Home and past few months. In
case we should miss someone, we
will leave you nameless. Your do-
nation of fresh supplies from your
farms has been enjoyed by the resi-
dents and is always a cost saver for
the Home. Thank you very much.
A warm welcome is given to
many new residents at the Home
the past few weeks - Eleanor
Brown and Alice Thiel of Zurich;

years at Maplewc id's Apartments

very involved in community work.
