Tillsonburg beat Expies in firu.ms.riior series
TILLSONBURG - Despite scoring five runs in the
'fourth inning, the 'visiting Exeter Express lost 10-6 on
Saturday in the first game:of the Ontario Baseball Asso-
ciation Senior'lY.playoff aeries.
The Tillsonburg Red Sox took a commanding 4-0 lead
after 'three 'innings -as :they managed 40..get to Exeter
starting pitcher Scot Russell for four hits. Russell strug-
gled as he walked 'three in the first three frames and the
Express committed three early errors.
Exeter's big fourth inning started when Russell
walked, Marty Merner doubled and then with two out,
Kerry Hoikien singled and Bill Glover walked.

Express were ahead by a run tut- they could not main-
tain the lead. Tillsonburg scored two in their half of the
fourth, three in the seventh and one in the eighth.
Game Two of the series goes Sunday in Exeter at 2
p.m. at the Alvin Willert Field.
