to Wendy Lyn Hoelscher. Rev.
James Sloan officiated at the
service. Daniel Wayne Reid is
the son of Donald and Helen
Reid, of Hensel! and Wendy
Lem .is the daughter of Bruce
and Carol Hoelscher, of Sea -
forth. Maid of Honour at the
wedding was Patricia Schwarz
of Seaforth and bridesmaids
were Debbie Lawrence, of
Hensall; Debbie Carter, of
Seaforth and Cindy Carter, of
Brucefield. 'Flowergir! was Brit-
tany Fry, of Shakespeare.
Best Man at the wedding was

ushers were Bob Lawrence,
of Hensall; Steve Bedard, of

Atmore -Kerslake
On July 17, 1993, Marjie At-
more and Steven Kerslake
were united in marriage at
Thames Road Church with
Rev. Jim Allsop officiating.
Marj is the daughter of Isobel
and Jack Tudor of St. Marys.
Steven is the son of Elwyn
and Wilma Kerslake of Win-
chelsea. The Matron of Hon-
our was Sandra Mathers,
friend of the bride. Brides-
maids were Karen Snow, sis-
ter of the groom; Heather
Morley, sister of the bride;
Patty ingold, friend of the
bride. Best Man was David
Prance, friend of the groom.
Ushers were Paul Kerslake,
brother of the groom; Perry
Sereda, friend of the groom
and Jack Aikenhead, friend of
the groom. After a reception
at Exeter Rec. Centre ice sur-
face, - the couple honey-
mooned
oneymooned in Northern Ontario
and now reside east of Exet-
er.

reunion held
HENSALL - The eighth annual
Jack and Reta Aikenhead Reunion
was held on August 15 at the Hen-
sall Community Park with 58 at-
tending.
Several games and races were
held and afterward a bridal shower
was held for Krista Zielbauer,
bride-to-be of Alan Hunt.
The potluck supper followed,
`with more prizes given to: youngest
person present. Crystal Willer; old-
est person present, Elir.abeth Fos-
ter; Registration number, Ron Fer-
guson; person coming the furthest,
Jo -Anne Smyth from Dungannon.
A candy scramble was later held
for the children, along with a draw
with all the children winning a
prize. An adult draw was also held
with many gift,' to be won.
Hendricks - McCarter
On July 10, 1993, Teresa
McCarter and Joe Hendriks
were united in marriage at St.
Boniface Parish, Zurich. La-
verne and Marion McCarter
are the bride's parents. Hen-
ry and Alieda Hendriks are

Harley Davis competed in the
Moto Cross Nationals at Walton in
Me 60 cc PeeWee division on the
weekend coming in as 10th place
winner.
Michael and Marylou Rumleski
visited with grandmother Mary Da-
vis last week.
Mabel Needham and Rose Cun-
ningham attended the bridal shower
last week for Carolyn Pritchard at
the Lucan United Church.
April and Tom Cunningham of
Mar were on holidays this week

enjoyed the Middlesex Beef Pro-
ducers annual barbecue at Poplar
Hill park on Thursday, August 19.
The Granton Area Firemen
served breakfast in the park to sev-
eral hundred people on Sunday,
August 22. Proceeds will go to the
annual children's hayride.

health.

tival of Flowers at the Community
Centre on Tuesday evening, August

ticipated in their regular exercises,
word games, and spelling trivia On
Monday afternoon Calvin Fahmer
from Crediton showed pact two of
his variety show video. Songs in
the video included: "Love Makes
the World Go Round", "When the
Saints Go Marching In", and "The
Lord's Prayer".
Tuesday morning was filled with
more activities such as ball throw-
ing, ring toss, and fun and fitness.
Rev. Mark Gaskin performed the
afternoon church service. Rev. Ga-
skin shared some• interesting and
educational stories with us. Joyce
Pepper played the piano and every-
one sang their favourite hymns.
On Wednesday after more fun
and fitness, some of the residents

trimmed and/or polished.
Thursday rsday evening a barbecued fi-
!et Mi nn dinner including shrimp
and cheeseball appetizers, corn on
the cob and cheesecake with fresh
blueberry topping was had by resi-
ts.
On Thursday afternoon the resi-
dents held their special baking club.
The object was to make Hershey
Bar Pie. This turned out great
thanks to the men and women who
participated The pie will be sam-
pled at the next barbecue.

Church news
At the St. Thomas' Anglican
church on Sunday, August 22, the
Rev. Stephen Emery led the service
of Morning Prayer. His message
was based on Psalm 23. Service
time next week is 11 a.m. on the
fifth Sunday.
There was no service at the Gran-
ton United Church on Sunday, but
regular services resume next Sun-
day, August 29.
