A house on wheels is the best way to describe Hugh and Hazel Davis' converted coach. The
coach has been a pet project of the Davis' for the past four years, and on the weekend they
held their first converted coach rally.

SAINTSBURY - Vacationing has been taken to the
limit by Hugh and Hazel Davis, two area residents
that have found the ultimate in .travel comfort. The
Davis's aretheproud owners of a converted coach
which they have renovated with all_ the comforts of
home.
A converted -coach is a "bus", similar to a Grey-
hound, that has been renovated inside much Mean
an
R.V., and all the comforts of .home includes kitchen,
a three piece bath, a full size master bedroom and
living mom area. The Davis's coach is also airoondi-
doned.
Hugh has done most of the renovations himself,
which ' have involved laying hard wood floors, wain-
soouing the .inside, and installing all the appliances
and fixtures. All of which took him six months to
complete.--Hazelhas decorated theinteriorwithwick-
er furniture and antiques to make it feel even more
like home.
"Each one is different," said Hugh, "the layouts,
and interior vary according to the owner."
The Davis's purchased the coach four years ago
upon it's retirement from Canada Coachlines in Lon-
don.
This past weekend the Davis's held their first COO
(Converted Coach Owners) Rally. Twenty-seven
coaches holding 60 people arrived at their home Friday
night for a two night stay. The coach owners were
from Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and Virginia, most of
whom participate in similar rays in other areas. This
however was the first rally the Davis's have held.
Many of the owners were retirees who spent most of
their summer travelling. The Davis's also plan to trav-
el extensively in their coach upon their retirement.
"It's the sort of thing you could work on forever,"
said Hugh, "there's always something you want -to
add or fix up."

"WHY FALL FERTILIZER IS IMPORTANT?"
As summer ends, many of us are thinking about our fall garrien-
ing activities. One of the most important fall lawn practices is the
application of a quality, fall fertilizer.
Fall fertilizer can be applied from August until November. The
best material to use is a fertilizer +kith a high analysis of nitrogen
in the slow-release form. Only slow-release fertilizers will not pro-
duce succulent growth which can be damaged by low tempera-
tures and diseases. -
Canada's lawn grasses grow best in cool, moist autumn weather
and our lawns require fall feeding. When you think about raking
leaves and other autumn gardening activities. don't forget your
application of fall fertilizer!
