The tournament was won by Larry Bel - rose from Owen Sound with 3 wins 48 with an Exeter team of Skip Shawn McFalls and Peter McFalls a close second 3 wins and 46. The -win gives the Imperials the lead in the best -of -three OASA Men's 'C' series whiah will continue this week. (As of presstime, a time had not yet been decided.) If they win, F,xetcr will head to Tavistock on August 27-29 for the 16 -team OASA tournament which will also feature league rivals Mitchell Mets and Fullerton A's. "We'll be representative," said Exeter coach Fred Cook. "There are pretty good teams there. It will be a tough tournament but we're playing well right now." Friday, visiting Lambeth. got on the board early Friday night as they plated a run in the . first inning. 'However the Exeter defense came up big in the opening frame as a double play stopped more runs helm scoring. Stafford had a good game at the plate as he made the game close with a sixth inning homer over the left field fence.
