During the past year, hands-on training courses were offered for more than 4,000 registrants across Ontario. The most popular courses were computer skills development; oth- ers covered marketing, financial management, human resources, and production management. Farmers were directly involved in determining the courses that would be available in their com- munities. Requests for OATI flpiding came from Local Agricultural Training Needs Identification com- mittees across the province. Farm- ers also assisted in developing the course contents to meet their needs, and taught most of the courses. These programs offered new farm management information to large groups of people or one-on- one consulting services to directly assist individuals in applying farm management concepts to their farms.
