Here is how this will affect you in
Huron County...
Proposed
Reductions
Lj
Discourage newly trained
doctors from starting practice in
"over serviced" areas.
LiVirtually eliminate services
provided by specialists in
training (residents) who are
fully trained to work in
Emergency Departments.
LiRestrict amount of service
provided by individual family
doctors.
Impact on
Huron County
11: By government decree, every
town, village and hamlet in
Huron Counter is "over supplied"
"`with anify c-Octors.sliis ycir"
experience?) Hence forth, new
doctors hoping to serve in our
county will be driven away by
fee discounts.
Li All 5 hospitals in Huron are
heavily served by these
physicians. This move risks
closure of Emergency
Departments at times when
local doctors need a rest.
Li Some doctors will have to close
their offices at times and
restrict the services they
provide to hospitals. Frustrated
by this, some have simply
relocated to the 'USA. Others
may join them shortly. Waiting
lists are sure to increase.
•
LI1 Restrict availability of back-up Huron County doctors will be
physicians and resident LI
unable to find replacement
doctors. . physicians when they are away.
