Thiel took eight Blue Water Rest
Home residents -on: a bus -trip to
Bayfield to view_thebeach,•the old
mill, and :the sail -boats in .he. Bar-
bour. They returned by Beamiler
and the Benmiller Inn and enjoyed
the fresh countryside and spring
blossoms along the way.
Thursday evening the residents
enjoyed a video shown by home ad-
juvant Cathy Shantz. Titled Irish
Magic: Irish Music the video por-
trayed the countryside and music of
Ireland.
Rev. George Phillips of Goshen
United Church conducted Thursday
afternoon's chapel service at the
rest home. With the onset of sum-
mer comes change, and the resi-
dents are wishing Rev. Phillips and
his wife a happy retirement in
Belleville and .thank him for con-
ducting iervices:at:dte home in the
past few years.
-The residents rounded out their
week's activities with a sing -a -long,
fun and fitness, newspaper reading,
shuffleboard, games night, and bin-
go.
The residents are looking forward
to a Summer Dinner to be held on
Sunday June 27 at the home.
Centralia youth group
holds barbecue in Exeter
CENTRALIA - It was a very
busy weekend for Faith Taberna-
cle and it all began Friday night
when the Youth Group loaded up
the BBQs with turkeyburgers and
hamburgers at the Sean Store park-
ing lot Bright and early Saturday
morning a yard sale was set up and
continued until late into the after-
noon. Again, the BBQs were going
and Chip'N Dale Scripture Rangers
were even on hand to wave a
friendly hello and hand out lots of
hugs to delighted little shoppers!
Another yard sale will be held in
the village this Saturday from 7 -
11:30.
Also on Saturday afternoon the
primary grades enjoyed a tour of
Hayters Turkey Farms in Dash-
wood. The whole life of "Tom Tur-
key" was seen, with the highlight
being able to view hundreds of day
old babies.
Next weekend appears to be just
as busy with WM meeting Friday
at 6:45 for an outdoor, *irawberry
evening, of fellowship. Then
grades 5 to adpit are heading for St.
Mary's to the Wildwood Conserva-
tion Park to play the survival game
on Saturday afternoon. Bus leaves
the school at 1:15 p.m. Cost is
53.50 to play the game.
Tonight is the final night for the
lost and found club as they wrap up
for the summer. The adult Bible
Study and the Youth Group will
continue to meet throughout the
summer. Also, tonight only, the
adults and youth' group will have
the privilege of previewing a up-
coming session of "Unlocking the
Mysteries of Creation'. The entire
series is scheduled for the public in
September at the South Huron Dis-
trict High School.
Rev. Paul Henderson from Smith
Falls will be ministering in both the
moming and evening services on
Father's Day Sunday.

ACW . meeting

SAINTSBURY - St. Patrick's
A.C.W. held -heir Jane -meeting at
the Parish Hall on Wednesday eve-
ning with a good crowd in atten-
dance. Beuy Johnson, program
leader, opened the meeting with
prayer and the Members Prayer
was said in unison. Leslie Switzer
and Kathy Blacklcr were intro-
duced.
Following their slide presentation
and talk on St. Marys for Children
of Chernoybl, Light the Way Pro-
ject, Hazel Davis thanked and pre-
sented a gift of money from the
A.C.W., and Courtney MacGilliv--
ray, on behalf of the Sunday School
presented a $75.00 cheque from the
Walkathon.
Thanks also to the ladies from
Kirkton, Granton, Exeter, Centralia
and Mt. Carmel for coming and
making the evening so special. A
time of fellowship followed. Later
birthday cake was eaten.

Walkathon was very successful
with a total collection of.S206.25.
Gifts of $75 each to Children of
Chernoybl and Children'a, Miracle
Network Telethon, reknnaining mon-
ey for groceries for DkGly Bread.
Special thanks to each of the chil-
dren, and to all who supported the
event.
St. Patrick's
Sunday, June 13, St. Patrick's cel-
ebrated the service of Holy Com-
munion at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Stephen
Emery talked to the children about
how special our fathers are and re-
membering them especially next
Sunday. - -
Cheryl Carroll provided the mu-
sic for the service, Lisa Carroll was
server.

Marguerite Greenlee entertained
her family at dinner on Wednesday
honouring Earl on his 65th birth-
