Potluck supper had i

GRAND BEND - The Catholic
Women's League of immaculate
Heart of Mary Church hosted a spe-
cial potluck supper for senior citi-
zens in the parish; to celebrate the
Senior's month of June. •
About 70 people attended the
event, held on June 8 in the parish
centre.
Community Life Convener Marie
Bannon and her helpers organized
the games and entertainment after
the meal.
Choir director Dolores Tighe led
a sing song providing music on her
guitar.
A small business meeting was
held for CWL members afterwards,
chaired by president Lia Vanden-
berk.
The summer bake sales are
scheduled for July 17-18 and Au-
gust 28-29, at all weekend Masses.
Quilt rattle chair Toni Vandenberk
reminded all members to sell their
tickets to be drawn August 29.
The pilgrimage to St. Mary's
Shrine begins on July 13, with the
novena from August 13 to 26. Any-
one interested in attending, please
call Lia at 238-8303. The Flower

ilepsy, held August 6-8 in Grand
Bend. Volunteers will be needed.

Immaculate Hean of Mary
Church, Grand Bend: Congratula-
tions to Andrew Smits of this par-
--Ash, who received form the Govern-
mr General of Ontario the highest
scouting award, "The Chief Scout
Award." The ceremony took place
in Mitchell, Ontario.
Bible Class is held each Wednes-
day at 8 p.m. in the meeting room
of the Parish Centre. A church or-
ganist is needed for the choir, as the
present organist will be terminating
his services after August 29. Could
any guitarists come and help out?
