MT. CARMEL - Mt. Carmel
CWL meeting was opened on June
1 with the recital of the league
prayer. A mass card was sent to
Mary Glavin. The CWL extends
their deepest sympathies to Donna
and -Harvey Smith.and also to the
family AA : Greg Fleming whq
passedaway recently.
CWL will host coffee Sundays
one weekend each month of the
summer beginning June 12, 13.
Other dates are July 10, 11 and Au
gust 7, 8.
There will be a parish get togeth-
er.at Mt. Carmel church after the
11:00 a.m. mass on Sunday, June
27. We discussed providing some
entertainment for this event. Diana
Hardy and Anne Reaburn and
youth choir will perform a few
songs and the league will also do
something interesting.

Seniors held their May mating at
the United Church with Irene
Blackwell in charge. Twenty mem-
bers were present.
The new executive for 1993-94 is
pres. Helen McKay, first vice,
Pearl Taylor, secretary Dorothy
Brintnell, treasurer Evelyn Flyn.
The September meeting will be a
pot luck supper at 6:30 p.m. Irene
Finlayson and Gladys Coleman ar-
ranged the euchre and served
lunch.

The policy manual for Mt. Car-
mel CWL was reviewed, revised
and accepted as amended. Tickets
for Oliver at Huron Country Play-
house are stillavailable in limited
quantity for CWL fun night on June
24. Contact Carla'Revington if in-
terested. Quilt tickets will -be avail-
able for sale at the Zurich Bean
Festival. Members agreed to donate
towards the purchase of some cas-
sette tapes -to provide uplifting mu-
sic for shutins of the Parish. The
meeting was .ended in prayer fol-
lowed by refreshmwts.
